Great Full

Great Full is a not-for-profit framework run by Melissa Gardi, which gathers NZ creatives to collaborate on limited edition products. From design, to materials and manufacturing, the products within each collection are produced sustainably in New Zealand and sold on greatfull.co.nz where 100% of the net profits are donated to organisations aligned with the collection.

What we did

Melissa approached Transformative to help build an e-commerce platform for greatfull.co.nz 

After evaluating Melissa’s requirements we decided to use the Drupal CMS with the Commerce module suite, as that would provide the flexibility needed to create a system that allows Mellisa to curate collections and add artists and products to these collections. There were also some specific business rules that would not have been possible to implement with other off-the-shelf e-commerce platforms.

Payments are processed via Stripe and order details are automatically forwarded to ParcelPort which Melissa uses to process all her orders and manage shipping.

Project Launch

The project went live in August 2019 with a collection of Baby Onesies, from a range of designers including Trelise Cooper & Zambesi, and proceeds going to Starship Hospital.

Great Full’s second collection was launched in April 2020 with a range of Bum Huggers (underwear) featuring the design of Flox & Dick Frizzel among others, with proceeds donated to Bowel Cancer NZ.

Both collections have been very successful and the project has raised over $60,000 so far for New Zealand charities.
